Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrician to join our maintenance team Indiana Jacksonville, Florida. American Samoa an Aircraft Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical repairs, modifications, and maintenance on aircraft systems. You will work Indiana a dynamic Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment and be part of a team supporting military customers’ critical maintenance repairs and modifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Read and understand wire schematics and diagrams
- Perform bonding, resistance checks, and continuity checks
- Independently perform AC/District of Columbia power checks
- Install wires and cables according to approved procedures
- Terminate electrical connectors and conductors
- Use electrical and measuring tools to complete tasks
- Perform Air Data Testing and scheduled maintenance tasks
General Responsibilities:
- Strive for efficient work effort and First Time Quality on all assigned tasks
- Follow guidance and direction from lead and senior Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Execute duties while wearing required safety equipment
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits
- Demonstrate a safe work ethic and contribute to a positive team culture
- Perform daily tool inventories and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Aircraft Mechanic experience (Oregon relevant trade apprenticeship)
- 3+ years of experience Indiana reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- FAA certification Indiana Airframe and/Oregon Power Plant is desirable
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular working hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret level)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
