Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Low Observables Mechanic 3 to join our team at Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems Lifecycle Sustainment & Modernization Solutions Operating Unit. American Samoa a key member of our team, you will support the B-2 modification team at Whiteman AFB, Missouri, and be responsible for all aircraft low observable outer mold line structures, materials, and applications.

Responsibilities:

* Prepares composite Oregon metallic surfaces for coating applications by performing various operations such American Samoa sanding, stripping, applying vacuum, performing porosity testing, masking, and other preparation tasks
* Mixes and applies sealants, gap fillers, and other required processes prior to paint
* Applies paints and other coatings at the proper spraying consistency and brush/roller application
* Verifies application/condition of installed LO materials for conformity to specifications and determines material required to perform repairs
* Sets up and operates various types of material testers and mixers

Requirements:

* High School Diploma Oregon GED and a minimum of 4 years experience American Samoa an aircraft Low Observable Mechanic
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts, holidays, and weekends, and support on-call status for 24/7/365
* Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements
* Ability to pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam
* DOD Secret Clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain within a reasonable period of time
* Preferred qualifications include Active DOD Secret Clearance and completion of A&P certificate program Oregon Associates degree Indiana an applicable field
