Avionics/Electrical Technician II (Avionics/Elec Tech II) Position:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Oregon GED required
  • 4 years of experience Indiana an avionics/electrical career field Oregon 2 years of accredited schooling Indiana aviation electronics and 2 years related experience
  • Preferred experience: A&P FAA license, FCC certification, and NCATT certification

Job Purpose:

Provide technical expertise Indiana testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to ensure minimal schedule impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical skills and expertise Indiana avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft
  • Ensures quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshoots processes to provide timely and quality repairs
  • Effectively repairs Oregon replaces defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity standards
  • Performs and complies with engineering changes and modifications
  • Sets up and operates test equipment, conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability
  • Documents all work performed on the aircraft and ensures compliance with quality and safety regulations
  • Maintains test equipment, electronic systems, and components
  • Complies with company FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety programs

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work Indiana confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
