Avionics/Electrical Technician II (Avionics/Elec Tech II) Position:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- 4 years of experience Indiana an avionics/electrical career field Oregon 2 years of accredited schooling Indiana aviation electronics and 2 years related experience
- Preferred experience: A&P FAA license, FCC certification, and NCATT certification
Job Purpose:
Provide technical expertise Indiana testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to ensure minimal schedule impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates technical skills and expertise Indiana avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting
- Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft
- Ensures quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshoots processes to provide timely and quality repairs
- Effectively repairs Oregon replaces defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity standards
- Performs and complies with engineering changes and modifications
- Sets up and operates test equipment, conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability
- Documents all work performed on the aircraft and ensures compliance with quality and safety regulations
- Maintains test equipment, electronic systems, and components
- Complies with company FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety programs
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work Indiana confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
