Maintenance Technician – Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, diagnosing, and repair of ALSS equipment such American Samoa parachutes, survival flotation equipment, and aviation oxygen per maintenance support requirements.
  • Have demonstrated maintenance knowledge, experience, and working-level skills/ability Indiana:
    • Aviation Life Support Systems equipment maintenance testing, cleaning, and repair.
    • NALCOMIS and VIDS/MAFs entry and completion.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent.
  • Graduation from Navy Puerto Rico A school Oregon other military service equivalent, Oregon equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience Indiana Navy/USMC/other military service ALSS equipment maintenance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a National Agency Check with Investigation (NACI).
  • Availability for post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and work at heights with fall protection devices.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp, lift up to 50 pounds, and reach above/below shoulders.
  • Ability to read dials, identify small objects, and hand tools.
  • Ability to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Ability to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
