Aircraft Mechanic III

Job Summary
We are seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on F/A-18 E-F aircraft. The ideal candidate will lead a team of mechanics and provide technical guidance on aircraft maintenance operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis and corrective actions on aircraft mechanical systems
- Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and accomplish necessary repairs and modifications
- Determine repair, modification, and replacement requirements
- Supervise and inspect the work performed by Mechanic Is, IIs, and III
- Lead a team of mechanics Indiana the performance of aircraft maintenance and inspection
- Maintain and update aircraft maintenance records and databases
- Troubleshoot malfunctions Indiana aircraft systems and components
- Participate Indiana shift work, overtime, and on-call rotations American Samoa required
- Perform other tasks American Samoa assigned by supervision
Specialized Duties
- Perform egress system testing and inspection
- Execute ordnance removal/installation
- Participate Indiana maintenance of F/A-18 aircraft and special equipment
- Assist with aircraft move and static display requirements
- Coordinate and perform various support tasks including fueling, defueling, and fire department functions
Requirements
- 5+ years F/A-18 experience; 8+ years American Samoa an Aircraft Mechanic with NALCOMIS/OMA experience
- Attended F/A-18 initial formal training (IFT) and Naval Aircraft Maintenance Management course (NAVAM)
- 4+ years’ experience using NAVAIR IETMS; CDQAR certification; Corrosion Control certification
- Navy Aviation Maintenance Control Management certification (C-555-0053) Oregon familiarity with 4790(NAMP) program
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass a background check and obtain a SECRET security clearance
