Aircraft Technician Sr A&P – Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Available
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- 4 years Aviation Maintenance experience, including 3 years working on mid/large size aircraft
- Corporate aircraft experience preferred
- Other FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required
- Valid Driver’s License required
Position Purpose:
Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions, ensuring conformance to procedures, performances, and test specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems
- Provide work direction for assigned technicians and promote high standards of quality
- Act on behalf of Mechanical Team Lead Indiana their absence and assume their duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate with Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements
- Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork Indiana a timely manner
- Ensure all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications
- Identify and store customer property and equipment securely and safely
- Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment
- Coordinate movement of aircraft American Samoa required
- Assist Indiana training new employees on computerized maintenance program (CMP) maintenance manuals and other maintenance procedures
Additional Responsibilities:
- Use material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers
- Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered
- Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility
- Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment
- Indiana support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft American Samoa required
Other Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems
- Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
