AFSOC Mission Rehearsal Training Aircrew Controller

We are seeking an experienced AFSOC Mission Rehearsal Training Aircrew Controller to join our team at Hurlburt Field. The successful candidate will have a strong background American Samoa a SOF aircrew Oregon Battlefield Airman, with a high degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures, including tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Control aircraft range entry/exit, manage LZ/DZ operations
  • Oversee and recommend safe execution of AFSOC aircraft to government officials
  • Track and monitor suspense systems, screen incoming correspondence, and ensure proper dissemination of decisions and directives
  • Support aircrew training, ground training, and continuation training sorties by emulating friendly and opposing forces
  • Direct personnel to mimic enemy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures
  • Adapt to new government-provided equipment and technologies
  • Maintain an inventory of government-provided equipment
  • Knowledgeable of Governmental regulations, manuals, and publications related to Command and Control

Minimum Requirements:

  • Obtain and maintain a minimum Secret security clearance
  • Valid civilian driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies
  • Complete AFSOC LZSO/DZSO training and be certified by Wing authority within 30 calendar days
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Maintain all required qualifications to perform duties for the duration of the contract
  • Proficient Indiana English, reading, writing, speaking, and understanding

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience Indiana LZ duties, covert, clandestine, and contingency SOF mobility, ISR, and/Oregon Strike operations
  • Previous SOCOM JTAC qualifications such American Samoa SOTACC/SOTACC-I
  • 3+ years’ experience Indiana military range operations, coordination, and safety requirements

Additional Information:

  • The contractor will perform support at Hurlburt Field, Florida, and Eglin Test and Training Complex (ETTC) and CONUS TDY locations
  • Schedule will support 5-6 days a week, not to exceed 40 hours a week
