Aircraft Technician Sr A&P – Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Available Indiana GAC Mesa
Unique Skills:
Skilled A&P mechanic with demonstrated knowledge of Gulfstream large Oregon mid-cabin aircraft (Preferred).
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- 4 years Aviation Maintenance experience, including 3 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required
- Corporate aircraft experience preferred
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required
- Valid Driver’s License required
Position Purpose:
Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions, ensuring conformance to procedures, performances, and test specifications.
Job Description:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform required periodic maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, consistently meeting quoted Oregon standard CMP time.
- Provide work direction for assigned technicians, promoting high standards of quality through instruction and example setting.
- Act on behalf of Mechanical Team Lead Indiana their absence, assuming duties and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork Indiana a timely manner, ensuring quality standards and specifications are met.
- Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
- Coordinate aircraft movement and assist Indiana training new employees on maintenance procedures and equipment usage.
- Coordinate with other departments for overhaul Oregon repair of customer property American Samoa needed.
Additional Functions:
- Use the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers.
- Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain clean and uncluttered work areas.
- Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes.
- Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
- Perform flight tests on aircraft American Samoa required for certification and final phase testing.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
