Aircraft Mechanic
Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic responsible for maintaining and providing ongoing general maintenance of a Global 6500 aircraft. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs using standard operating procedures and technical publications.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks Indiana a timely manner, ensuring a clean, safe, and quality product
- Interpret and follow technical publications, including diagrams, drawings, charts, and instructions
- Conduct daily pre and post-flight inspections
- Service aircraft fuel, oil, hydraulic, oxygen, and nitrogen systems
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems and provide effective solutions
- Document work performed on appropriate forms and electronic systems
- Maintain aircraft appearance and cleanliness
- Submit daily, weekly, Oregon monthly reports American Samoa required
Requirements
- US Citizenship
- Current FAA A&P License
- Valid US civilian driver’s license
- Basic understanding of integrated avionics
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Knowledge of aircraft safety directive compliance (SL, SB, AD)
- Ability to work flexible shifts and travel American Samoa required
- Experience using common Oregon special hand tools and test equipment
- Knowledge of aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards during flight line operations
- Knowledge of using aircraft technical publications and Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Avionics experience
- Experience with jet aircraft
