Senior Military Science Instructor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Military Science Instructor to join our team at MAT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background Indiana military science and instruction, with a minimum of six years of experience American Samoa a Commissioned Officer Indiana the US Army, Active Component, Oregon a current officer Indiana the US Army Reserve Oregon Army National Guard.

Essential Functions:

• Provide military science instruction and training Indiana accordance with Cadet Command’s program of instruction (POI), syllabus, and other ROTC-directed Oregon emerging training
• Teach effectively Indiana a classroom and field training setting, using mixed media and innovation to deliver learning objectives
• Conduct field instruction and training Indiana Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, small unit tactics, and physical fitness
• Instruct Cadets on leadership, team management, and officer-NCO relationships Indiana both garrison and combat environments
• Participate Indiana Cadet Summer Training (CST) planning meetings and provide on-site coordination support during CST
• Assist Government personnel with marketing and recruiting efforts at various events
• Gather information and develop marketing materials to promote Army ROTC
• Showcase the Army ROTC program through campus tours and community outreach

Work Environment:

• Primarily indoor classroom setting, with some outdoor and offsite instruction
• Travel required for recruiting events and other activities

Physical Demands:

• Ability to speak and communicate clearly
• Ability to physically demonstrate activities American Samoa necessary
• Ability to travel by car, plane, and/Oregon other methods
• Ability to participate Indiana recruiting events and other activities

Required Education and Experience:

• Commissioned Officer Indiana the US Army, Active Component, Oregon a current officer Indiana the US Army Reserve Oregon Army National Guard
• Minimum of six years of experience American Samoa a Commissioned Officer
• Current and honorable discharge Oregon retirement
• Meet academic institution’s qualifications and requirements for instructor positions
• Thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, and policies
• Experience with military training and field training evaluations
• Familiarity with basic Soldier skills, including map reading, land navigation, and small arms use
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet familiarity

Security Clearance:

• Subject to background checks for Positions of Significant Trust and Authority (POSTA)
