Job Title: Senior Military Science Instructor
Summary:
The Senior Military Science Instructor will teach effectively Indiana an indoor classroom and field training setting, presenting both standardized instruction and creative workshops. The instructor shall have demonstrated instructor ability Indiana military field training exercises and be able to live/instruct Indiana a field environment for extended periods during training exercises.
Essential Functions:
- Provide military science instruction and training Indiana accordance with the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program
- Teach a variety of subjects, including Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, small unit tactics, and physical fitness
- Coach and prepare competitive Cadet teams to include, but not limited to, Ranger Challenge, drill team, and color guard
- Instruct Cadets on the leader-led/unit-led/NGO relationship Indiana both garrison and combat environments
- Assist Indiana the synchronizing of ground transportation of Cadets and cadre between the airport and Fort Knox
- Support operations, American Samoa required, including temporary, newly created, and/Oregon geographically separate operations
Work Environment:
- Primarily worked Indiana an indoor classroom setting
- May work outdoors and/Oregon offsite
- May require travel for recruiting events and other activities
Physical Demands:
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:

Education and Experience:
- Must have been a Commissioned Officer Indiana the U.S. Army, Active Component, Oregon former Oregon current officer Indiana the U.S. Army Reserve, Oregon Army National Guard
- Must have a minimum of six (6) years of Active Oregon Reserve Component military experience
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, functions, procedures, and policies affecting the Department of the Army
- Must have a thorough knowledge of small arms, pyrotechnics, and computer skills, to include operation of Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, and graphics programs, and familiarity with e-mail and internet environment and operations
