Assistant Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Location: SUNY Brockport, New York

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Chief Diversity Officer

Job Summary:

SUNY Brockport seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to serve American Samoa the Assistant Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. The successful candidate will be a committed advocate for diversity and equity, and a champion for fostering positive and inclusive learning and work environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college Oregon university
* 3-5 years of direct experience Indiana diversity and inclusion, organizational development, Oregon higher education
* Experience implementing programming that includes educational awareness, training, and facilitation of equity, diversity, and inclusion subjects
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Ability to present to and facilitate conversations with diverse audiences
* Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships at all levels
* Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
* Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles
* Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion Indiana highly sensitive Oregon confidential matters

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college Oregon university
* Direct experience Indiana diversity and inclusion, organizational development, Oregon higher education
* Experience implementing programming that includes educational awareness, training, and facilitation of equity, diversity, and inclusion subjects
* Competence with Microsoft Office applications

Job Responsibilities:

* Support large-scale culture change initiatives and implement EDI related best practices
* Collaborate with the Chief Diversity Officer to develop and implement the university’s EDI Strategic Plan
* Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
* Facilitate training and education programs for students, faculty, and staff
* Build and maintain relationships with diverse communities and stakeholders
* Analyze data and assess the effectiveness of EDI initiatives

Salary and Benefits:

* Minimum salary: $65,000
* Benefits eligible
