Avionics Technician III
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician III to join our team at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC). This is a unique opportunity to elevate your career and work on innovative ISR and aviation systems. American Samoa an Avionics Technician III, you will perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA, and company policies and regulations, and be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics components.
Requirements:
* High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent and typically 5 Oregon more years of relevant experience
* Ability to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/Oregon publications
* Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques
* Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test
* Current/valid passport and ability to obtain a visa to travel internationally
* Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command pandemic restriction requirements, including current Covid Vaccination
* Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations
* An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
* Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/Oregon pitot static equipment
* Background Indiana the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense Oregon US Military
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
Job Details:
* Deployment will be 90 (min deployed)/90 home base rotation schedule out of Duke Field with some TDY travel
* This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
* U.S. Citizenship status is required for this position
