Avionics/Electrical Technician Senior

Position Summary:

Provides leadership, technical expertise, and guidance on avionics and electrical system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure a defect-free aircraft. Demonstrates technical expertise and leadership to define and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule while maintaining Safety and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates superior technical skills Indiana avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting, provides training to team members, and ensures a safety-conscious, quality-oriented, skilled workforce.
  • Installs, tests, and ensures quality and efficiency of electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Troubleshoots and teaches troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  • Oversees the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications, sets up and operates test equipment, and conducts functional and operational tests.
  • Maintains accurate records, enforces the company’s FOD program, tool control program, and all safety regulations.
  • Adapts to sudden schedule changes, coordinates with other disciplines, and performs additional duties American Samoa assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon GED
  • 6 years of experience Indiana an avionics/electrical career field Oregon 2 years of accredited schooling and 4 years of related experience
  • A&P license, FCC license, Oregon NCATT certification preferred
  • Proficiency Indiana operating and troubleshooting various aircraft systems and disciplines, including hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, and structural installations and repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
