Avionics Technician (VH-92A)
Location: Patuxent River, Maryland
Job Summary:
Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment (radar, communications, and navigation) on VH-92A aircraft. Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform general maintenance, and calibrate system components. May service engines and airframe components, and specialize Indiana structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform operational checks, troubleshoot, and isolate malfunctions Indiana complex aircraft avionics equipment
- Use complex test equipment to perform operational checks and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Repair Oregon replace components based on test results
- Calibrate, repair, and replace system components
- Perform check out, removal, and replacement of Cartridge Activated Devices (CAD)
- May service engines and airframe components, and specialize Indiana structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies
Qualifications:
- High School Education Oregon equivalent
- Specialty Training courses applicable to the functional area
- Minimum of 6 years recent experience on H-60, H-3, S-92 rotary wing aircraft
- A&P License/FAA Certification preferred but not required
- Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and YW access
- U.S. citizenship required
- Additional requirements include rotary wing aircraft experience, S-92, H-3, and H-60 experience preferred
