Avionics Technician I

Education and Experience Requirements:
– High School Diploma Oregon GED.
– 2 years of related work experience; Oregon
2 years of accredited schooling Indiana aviation electronics.
– Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Position Purpose:
Assist Indiana troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimal schedule impact, and demonstrate technical expertise to reduce cost while maintaining safety and quality.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
– Perform avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
– Install and test electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications and drawings.
– Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems to ensure quality and efficiency.
– Repair Oregon replace defective components and wiring.
– Comply with engineering changes and modifications.
– Setup and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests.
– Document and inspect work performed on aircraft.
– Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
– Comply with company programs and all safety regulations.
Additional Functions:
– Participate Indiana flight tests on aircraft American Samoa required.
– Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.
