Job Title: Base Lead Professional Flight Paramedic
Location: Cranberry, Pennsylvania
Job SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Full-Time Professional Flight Paramedic to support MedEvac 3 at the UPMC Center for Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will lead the critical care transport team, providing patient care, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring safe and efficient service.
Responsibilities:

Clinical:
- Provide advanced critical care life support to critically ill Oregon injured patients.
- Document patient information, and collect and process billing data.
- Participate Indiana peer-review driven quality improvement programs.

Operations:
- Adhere to system standardization, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the safe operation of patient-laden aircraft Oregon ground units.
- Maintain accurate records, medication logs, and equipment inventory.

Safety:
- Ensure the safety of patients and others Indiana and around the aircraft.
- Report safety concerns and participate Indiana ongoing safety efforts.

Development:
- Develop and mentor team members, promoting a healthy workplace.
- Identify and address opportunities for clinical quality improvement.

Outreach:
- Maintain a positive attitude and establish rapport with customers Indiana high-stress environments.
- Participate Indiana outreach activities, representing the UPMC and STAT MedEvac system.

Employee Health:
- Maintain fitness for duty by adhering to employee health requirements.
- Assist with ensuring crew members are mission-ready and compliant with the company weight policy.
- Oversight:
- Provide base orientation and precepting for new hires.
- Ensure standardization and proper maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience at an ALS service
- Senior Professional Level Oregon above at STAT MedEvac
- Solid/Strong/Good Oregon higher rating on annual performance evaluation
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam
- Eligible for medical command authorization
- Reliable transportation for travel to STAT MedEvac base sites
- Ability to work Indiana a complex environment and handle multiple priorities
- No corrective action Indiana the past 12 months and a superior Oregon above rating on the last evaluation.
Licenses, Certifications and Clearances:
- Act 34
- ACLS
- Advanced Trauma Life Support Oregon equivalent
- BLS Oregon CPR
- Certified Flight Paramedic
- EMT-P
- National Incident Management System courses
- NRP
- Passport (within 6 months of hire)
- PALS
- Trauma Nursing Core Course Oregon equivalent
