Job Summary:

We are seeking a Calibration Technician I to join our team at Transcat, a dynamic and innovative company that delivers calibration and compliance services to vital industries. Responsibilities:

  • Work with other technicians to learn calibration fundamentals and measurement techniques

  • Maintain calibration standards and working knowledge and competency Indiana at least three disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure, etc.)

  • Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule

Primary Objectives:

  • Learn fundamental calibration skills and techniques
  • Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom-led instruction
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
  • Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
  • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from college Oregon technical school; Oregon at least one year related experience and/Oregon training; Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary: $21.00 – $31.00 per hour

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to read, write, talk, and hear
  • Often required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb Oregon balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch Oregon crawl
