Calibration Technician III
Overview
Transcat is a dynamic, innovative, growing company that has been recognized American Samoa the leading calibration and compliance services provider Indiana North America and beyond. We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician III to join our team. American Samoa a Calibration Technician III, you will perform calibration work with little to no supervision, conduct independent research, and coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from a manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration work with little to no supervision
- Conduct independent research when necessary
- Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
- Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
- Maintain calibration standards
- Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made
- Read and interpret labs’ scopes of accreditation
- Work effectively with lab support staff
- Perform calibrations within a laboratory Oregon customer onsite setting
- Work at customer on-sites with little to no direction
- Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, Indiana keeping with Company requirements and standards
Primary Objectives
- Learn and develop fundamental calibration skills and techniques
- Develop team lead skills and responsibilities
- Develop skills necessary to train and advise lower-level technicians
- Develop skills necessary to advance to Senior Calibration Technician position
Qualifications
- Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
- Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
- Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and American Samoa part of a team
Requirements
- Associates degree from college Oregon technical school, Oregon four+ (4+) years related experience and/Oregon training, Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working within ISO 17025 and the ability to create, edit and maintain uncertainty budgets with an extensive understanding of statistics
- 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
Preferred
- Four+ (4+) years of commercial calibration experience
- CCT Oregon CMT certification
- Previous experience Oregon training Indiana electronics Oregon machining
- Extensive statistical background
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
