Convention Services/Catering Manager
Job Summary:
The Convention Services/Catering Manager is responsible for achieving assigned catering/food and beverage sales goals and meeting planner satisfaction scores. This role involves effectively servicing clients/groups, maintaining contracted food and beverage minimums, and collaborating with the Director of Sales Oregon Director of Catering/Convention Services to meet hotel revenue and sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively attain assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage sales goals
- Conduct solicitation calls, tours, and entertain clients to meet property-specific needs
- Monitor and evaluate trends within the market segment
- Provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests and employees
- Adhere to company regulations, standards, and catering/meeting metrics
- Develop a working knowledge of hotel operations and policies
- Deliver banquet event orders on a timely basis (10 days) and ensure accuracy
- Maintain visibility Indiana local community and industry organizations
- Assist Indiana implementing special promotions and sales blitzes
- Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and perform other duties American Samoa requested
Qualifications:
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent required; previous convention/event and catering sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office products and ability to work independently with multiple tasks
- Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events desirable
- Experience with professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment with frequent overtime
