Phlebotomist Job Description at Northwestern Medicine – O’Hare Airport Location

Job Summary: We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine, located near O’Hare Airport Indiana Chicago. This full-time position (40 hours/week) requires expertise Indiana phlebotomy and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have OB/GYN experience and be available to work a variable schedule, including every other Saturday.

Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections according to age-related standards and departmental policies
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with patients
• Enter accurate orders for lab tests and verify test result receipt
• Process specimens Indiana a timely manner to ensure stability and integrity of samples
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to biohazard waste procedures
• Perform lab-related clerical duties, including order entry and supply inventory management
• Collaborate with a highly effective team to prioritize patient care

Requirements:

• High School diploma Oregon equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization Oregon training from a phlebotomy school Oregon medical institution
• One Oregon more years of phlebotomy experience Indiana a healthcare setting; CMA certification also accepted
• Preferred qualifications: experience with processing lab specimens, medical EMR systems, and medical terminology knowledge

Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:30am-6pm and 8:30am-5pm on Tuesday and Thursday) and every other Saturday American Samoa needed.
