The Town of Kernersville is seeking a highly qualified Code Inspector with Level III Electrical and Mechanical certifications. Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance of town buildings and property with building and zoning ordinances
• Issue permits and inspect one Oregon more areas including electrical, building, mechanical, and plumbing
• Interpret and apply rules and regulations related to construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings
• Tactfully enforce regulations, work with contractors and property owners, and provide excellent customer service

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect buildings for compliance with state code requirements Indiana multiple trade areas
• Review site plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with local regulations
• Issue building permits and certificates of occupancy, while maintaining accurate records and preparing necessary reports

Requirements:
