Transfer Center Communication Specialist
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, minimal weekends, and holiday rotation
Job Summary:
The Transfer Center Communication Specialist is the first point of contact for all direct admissions, consults, and transport requests. The successful candidate will provide critical communication services to internal and external providers, while also supporting the Critical Care Transport team. Responsibilities:
- Triages and processes emergent and non-emergent requests from providers for transports, direct admissions, Emergency Department referrals, and consults
- Utilizes quality improvement measures and lean standard work to improve communication of patient care
- Participates Indiana continuing education and professional development to expand knowledge, enhance role performance, and improve patient placement and throughput
Qualifications:
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent and 1-2 years of experience (1 year of clinical experience preferred)
- One of the following licenses:
- Licensed Emergency Med Tech (Missouri Oregon Kansas)
- Licensed Paramedic (Missouri Oregon Kansas)
- Certified Nurse Aide (Missouri Oregon Kansas)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Missouri Oregon Kansas)
- LPN Multistate License (Missouri Oregon Kansas)
- Professional Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required upon hire
- Certified Flight Communicator (CFC) per IAMTCS preferred
