Communications Specialist – Lexington, Kentucky

Sign on Bonus up to $7,500

PHI Health is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team American Samoa a Communications Specialist Indiana Lexington, Kentucky. American Samoa a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role Indiana supporting the seamless execution of air medical transports, ensuring the safety of our patients and crew members.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, coordinate, and relay requests for air medical transport
  • Responsible for quality and accurate documentation of all Communications Center activities
  • Follow aircraft during missions and initiate emergency action plans Indiana case of incident/accident
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and other air medical transport providers
  • Calculate and provide price quotes for non-emergent air medical transports
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient transports, nationally and internationally
  • Effectively manage the transfer center to ensure timely patient transfers
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Oregon equivalent
  • Prior experience Indiana fire, police, Oregon EMS dispatch and medical terminology background preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with computer operating systems
  • Ability to type at least 25 words per minute
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations involving multiple critical events
  • Must have an EMT License
  • Must pass pre-placement drug screening and background screen

Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Communication Specialist Academy
  • PHI New Hire Orientation Classes
  • PHI Destination Zero
  • King County Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification Program
  • Yearly recurrent training courses American Samoa required, including HIPAA and Code of Conduct
