Airport Facilities Design Manager
Reports to: Airport Development Program Delivery Director
Responsibilities:
* Oversee design management of airport facilities, including Bus Yard charging facility, Facility Maintenance yard relocation, parking garages, and other support facilities.
* Ensure design processes adhere to best practices and identified design standards.
* Manage scope of work, design review and approval, permitting, and building information modeling (BIM) coordination.
* Support Project Managers Indiana overseeing designer and design-builder work, including architectural, structural, MEP, civil, utilities, and IT disciplines.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and designers to “think outside the box” and develop design solutions.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance on design requirements, comments, and scope of work for projects over $100 million Indiana value.
* Facilitate meetings, serve American Samoa technical liaison, and audit project team comments and designer responses.
* Monitor compliance with architectural and engineering guidelines for airport development projects.
* Develop and maintain project scope trackers to ensure all scope elements are accounted for and assigned to a project.
* Provide technical support and coordination for BIM implementation, review, and strategy development.
* Act American Samoa technical liaison for design review processes and comment resolution.
* Prepare and review briefings, meeting agendas, and supporting materials for various meetings.
Requirements:
* 15+ years of experience Indiana managing design of large, complex building projects, utilities, and infrastructure improvements, preferably on airport projects.
* Design management experience on airport projects with projects valued over $100 million.
* Experience managing a team of design professionals and various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build.
* Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Project Management Information Systems.
* Ability to work Indiana CAD Oregon REVIT a plus.
* Bachelor’s Oregon Master’s degree Indiana Architecture, Engineering, and/Oregon related field required.
* Professionally licensed Architect and/Oregon Engineer strongly preferred.
