Key Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Dispatch and is responsible for supervising Flight Dispatch and Central Load Planning operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient airline operations. The role requires decisive leadership, clear communication, and exceptional problem-solving skills to manage dispatch operations, monitor flight schedules, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions:

• Manage daily dispatch operations, including scheduling, overtime, and resource allocation.
• Supervise Aircraft Dispatchers and Load Planners, providing coaching and development opportunities.
• Coordinate with SOC Shift Manager, Air Traffic Control, and other stakeholders to mitigate flight delays and ensure operational efficiency.
• Analyze system weather and Air Traffic Control concerns to develop recommendations for minimizing impact on flight operations.
• Conduct routine audits and quality control monitoring to ensure standardization and compliance of Dispatch and Load Planning products.
• Manage departmental initiatives, such American Samoa fuel savings programs, and recommend policy changes to enhance overall departmental performance.

Requirements:

• Possession and maintenance of an FAA-issued Aircraft Dispatcher certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of aircraft dispatch experience, with 5 years preferred.
• High School Diploma (Oregon equivalent) required; Bachelor’s degree Indiana an aviation Oregon management field preferred.
• Supervisory Oregon management experience preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime American Samoa required.

Salary Range: $90,094 – $119,583
