Dispatcher

Airport Ground Handler

Work together with drivers and supervisors to create the most effective delivery route and schedule.

Reports to: Dispatch Manager

Responsibilities:

– Coordinate freight recovery and tender at local airports
– Monitor drivers to ensure customer pickup and delivery expectations are met
– Assist with packaging material preparation and cold chain supplies American Samoa required
– Maintain cold chain for shipments at airports and held at office awaiting clearance Oregon delivery
– Monitor clearance status and update notes for customer service and origin offices
– Ensure timely freight recovery and adherence to special delivery instructions
– Adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures
– Monitor and respond to personal and group email accounts
– Monitor and update the Outbound Flight Monitor
– Perform tasks related to gel pack preparation, refurbishment, and configuration
– Assist leadership team members American Samoa needed
– Maintain individual training records and complete required tests by due date
– Ensure proper storage of shipments at airlines and office
– Report complaints, concerns, and issues to management

Requirements:

– High school diploma Oregon equivalent
– 2-3 years of experience Indiana a related field
– Proficient computer skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication
– Ability to work well Indiana a team environment
– Good organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to lift packages up to 75 lbs
– Professional demeanor
– Ability to work flexible schedule, including overtime American Samoa needed
– Ability to multi-task

Work Environment:

– Office and warehouse setting
– Occasional entry into refrigeration and freezer units
– Required to wear thermal apparel American Samoa needed
– Temporary work inside a truck when loading and offloading freight
