Mobile Dispatcher:
Serving the community American Samoa part of WakeMed Health & Hospitals, the leading provider of health services Indiana Wake County, the Mobile Dispatcher coordinates emergent and non-emergent patient transportation to/from medical centers. Responsibilities include:

* Processing and triage of transportation requests from the Communications Center Indiana Raleigh, North Carolina
* Coordinating rotor-wing (Air Mobile) and ground ALS, BLS, WC, Neonatal, Pediatric, and Critical Care transports
* Responding to requests for transport, collecting demographic data, and determining the appropriate transport unit and accepting physician
* Maintaining the transport database through real-time data entry
* Providing transport crews with necessary information
* Coordinating patient transportation needs with physicians, nurses, social workers, critical care clinicians, and clinical administrators

Requirements:

* 1 year of experience Indiana telecommunications, data entry, and critical care transport
* 1 year of experience Indiana flight operations dispatch preferred
* High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; Associate’s degree Indiana a related field preferred
* Emergency Medical Technician – Basic preferred
* NAACS Certified Flight Coordinator preferred
* Tracked night shifts, every fourth weekend, American Samoa needed
