Senior Electronics Technician Maintenance Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Electronics Technician Maintenance professional to join our team at a critical mission location Indiana South Carolina. American Samoa a Senior Electronics Technician, you will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, lead electronic system equipment installation tasks, and provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our military defense program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems, including isolating malfunctions, incorporating engineering changes, and performing complex diagnosis, repair, and modification of aviation ground electronics systems and equipment.
- Work with complex test instruments, including high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and computer control equipment.
- Lead electronic system equipment installation tasks, and perform periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of installed systems.
- Provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.
- Work Indiana operational Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities on ATC systems, requiring extreme awareness and the highest level of safety and caution to eliminate risk to aircraft safety.
Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- Formal electronics training from a technical school, Class A Oregon B military school Indiana electronics Oregon communications, Oregon four-year electronics apprentice program.
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent.
- 8 years of practical experience Indiana electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
- 6 years of technical experience Indiana ATC equipment and systems, including aviation ground navigation systems, meteorology systems, Oregon air traffic control systems.
- 3 years of practical experience Indiana electronics repair and installation.
- 2 years of experience Indiana supervision and shop practices.
- Ability to travel American Samoa necessary (75%).
- Desired experience and skills: Tower Climbing experience/certification, Forklift operator experience/certification.
