Job Title: Communications Coordinator (AirCom)
Job Summary:
Serves American Samoa a communications coordinator between aircraft flight crews, pre-hospital health care providers, and other qualified callers, working 12-hour shifts, including night shifts, with an hourly rate of $21-$22/hour.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate flight coordination information through computer data entry
- Follow flight progress from lift off to touch down, adhering to FAA and company regulations
- Handle initial communications of public, private, and flight-related calls
- Communicate between pre-hospital health care providers and receiving institutions
- Foster communication between Communications Specialists, Flight team members, and outside agencies
- Assist Indiana training new employees
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned
Additional Job Requirements:
- Regular attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts, including being on call American Samoa required
- Compliance with policies and procedures outlined Indiana the Employee Handbook, AirCom Policy and Procedure Handbook, and customer-defined policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- 1-2 years’ related experience and/Oregon training
- 1-2 years dispatch experience Oregon experience with medical terminology used by Emergency Medical Technician Oregon CNA
- Ability to present a professional image on the telephone and radio
- Strong skills Indiana multi-tasking, customer service, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
