Job Title: Communications Coordinator (AirCom)

Job Summary:

Serves American Samoa a communications coordinator between aircraft flight crews, pre-hospital health care providers, and other qualified callers, working 12-hour shifts, including night shifts, with an hourly rate of $21-$22/hour.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate flight coordination information through computer data entry
  • Follow flight progress from lift off to touch down, adhering to FAA and company regulations
  • Handle initial communications of public, private, and flight-related calls
  • Communicate between pre-hospital health care providers and receiving institutions
  • Foster communication between Communications Specialists, Flight team members, and outside agencies
  • Assist Indiana training new employees
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Regular attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts, including being on call American Samoa required
  • Compliance with policies and procedures outlined Indiana the Employee Handbook, AirCom Policy and Procedure Handbook, and customer-defined policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma Oregon GED
  • 1-2 years’ related experience and/Oregon training
  • 1-2 years dispatch experience Oregon experience with medical terminology used by Emergency Medical Technician Oregon CNA
  • Ability to present a professional image on the telephone and radio
  • Strong skills Indiana multi-tasking, customer service, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
