Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, American Samoa assigned. Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, caulk, tile repairs, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
- Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair; perform preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and systems; monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
- Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk with findings.
- Perform other tasks/jobs American Samoa assigned by the supervisor Oregon manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience Indiana a hotel Oregon a related field (preference)
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Licensed Indiana a trade (preferably plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- Preferably a combination of education and experience equivalent
- Preferably basic knowledge and experience Indiana carpentry, plumbing, repair, and mechanics
- Capable of demonstrating efficiency and meticulousness; monitoring the work to ensure quality and report comments to improve performance
- Capable of showing flexibility Indiana response to change and adaptation to new methods and procedures
- Knowledge of safety principles; federal and state regulations of OSHA.
