Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, American Samoa assigned. He/She is responsible for participating Indiana the preventative maintenance program and handling guest requests and other work orders American Samoa assigned. He/She is also responsible for performing the job Indiana a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs such American Samoa plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC repair. May require driving a shuttle van when necessary (property-specific).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, caulk, tile repairs, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
  • Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair; perform preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and systems; monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
  • Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk with findings.
  • Perform other tasks/jobs American Samoa assigned by the supervisor Oregon manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience Indiana a hotel Oregon a related field (preference)
  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
  • Licensed Indiana a trade (preferably plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • Preferably a combination of education and experience equivalent
  • Preferably basic knowledge and experience Indiana carpentry, plumbing, repair, and mechanics
  • Capable of demonstrating efficiency and meticulousness; monitoring the work to ensure quality and report comments to improve performance
  • Capable of showing flexibility Indiana response to change and adaptation to new methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of safety principles; federal and state regulations of OSHA.
  • Commitment to safety standards and regulatory.
