Job Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment American Samoa assigned. This includes participating Indiana the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and performing trade jobs such American Samoa carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc. May require driving a shuttle van when needed (property specific).
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool, and hot tub
- Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply
- Monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request
- Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk with findings
- Perform other tasks/jobs American Samoa assigned by the supervisor Oregon manager
Qualifications:
- Experience Indiana a hotel Oregon related field preferred
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Licensed Indiana a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific)
- Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific)
Certifications:
- One-year certificate from a college Oregon vocational school; Oregon three to six months of experience Oregon training related to the field; Oregon a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above
- Basic knowledge and experience Indiana carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC systems preferred
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail; monitor own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility Indiana response to change and adapt to new methods and procedures
- Knowledge of safety principles and federal and state OSHA regulations
