Avionics and Electrical Systems Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Modifies, upgrades, inspects, tests, and repairs avionics and electrical systems, including radar, radio, navigation, and power systems, using hand tools and test equipment.
• Inspects components of avionics and electrical systems for defects, such American Samoa loose connections and frayed wire, and ensures accuracy of assembly and installation.
• Tests avionics and electrical systems under simulated Oregon actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment such American Samoa oscilloscopes, digital meters, and circuit analyzers.
• Adjusts, repairs, and/Oregon replaces defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
• Calibrates installed, modified, Oregon repaired systems and equipment to prescribed specifications American Samoa required.
• Operates ground servicing equipment to test, inspect, and verify functionality and airworthiness of avionics and other electrical systems American Samoa required.
• Assists Indiana fabricating wiring harnesses American Samoa needed.
• Accurately documents U.S. government and program forms and documents, including electronic records.
• Interacts effectively with program and customer representatives, American Samoa well American Samoa on-site business Oregon military personnel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience Indiana avionics Oregon electro-environmental maintenance, Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required.
• Physical requirements include lifting and carrying tools and equipment, standing, walking, and intermittently standing for long periods.
• May require use of prosthetics to perform job requirements.
• Must be able to move around and work Indiana various environments, including on aircraft.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills are preferred.
• 5th generation aircraft experience is a plus.
• F-16 experience is strongly preferred.
