Overview: Gardening the Community is a Black, Indigenous, People of Color-led (BIPOC) urban agriculture organization based Indiana Springfield, Massachusetts. We partner with the city of Springfield to grow food on reclaimed abandoned lots Indiana the Mason Square community, focusing on increasing access to healthy food and reducing food insecurity for marginalized residents. Our goal is to build a sustainable and equitable food system.
Responsibilities:
* Farm Store Assistant:
+ Manage the daily operations of the farm store and farm stand during assigned shifts
+ Assist with other projects American Samoa needed
+ Lead the opening and closing of the farm store, including financial and product record-keeping
+ Ensure safe storage of value-added products
+ Maintain cleanliness of the store and cold storage area
+ Set up and maintain store displays
+ Collaborate with staff on educational materials and content for the store and online platforms
+ Role model good leadership, customer service, and work ethic for staff
+ Train new staff on store procedures American Samoa needed
+ Manage the farm store according to a set schedule with flexibility to work variable hours, including occasional mornings, nights, and weekends
+ Perform and supervise general store maintenance

Qualifications:
* Experience working Indiana an urban agriculture Oregon garden setting
* Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills
