Field Avionics Technician

Job Summary:

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Avionics Technician to join their team at Creech AFB. The successful candidate will support MCE Maintenance and work on a rotating 2nd and 3rd shift schedule. This position requires technical and operational support Indiana the installation, maintenance, and repair of unmanned aerial vehicle electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate UAV, ground control stations, and ground support equipment
  • Analyze customer requirements and evaluate product implementation to meet specifications
  • Provide technical expertise on product installation, configuration, and repair
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems with ground and airborne electronic equipment
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on ground and airborne systems
  • Represent the company American Samoa a subject matter expert with internal and external customers
  • Conduct training and practical instruction of peers and customers
  • Meet all regulatory requirements and follow company safety procedures

Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree Oregon trade school equivalency and 6+ years of experience Indiana aviation Oregon electronics
  • Ability to troubleshoot at the component level
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentations skills
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and Indiana a team environment
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to work a rotating 2nd and 3rd shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with RF systems and Session Layer Protocol (TELNET)
  • Certification Indiana A+, Network+, and Security+
  • Familiarity with File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
