Field Service Engineer
A leading global manufacturer of precision CNC manufacturing cutting tools seeks a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work remotely, traveling extensively to provide on-site support, technical assistance, and training to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools on-site Oregon via telephone
- Create and update technical documentation
- Contribute to product development by training and assisting service engineers on new product lines
- Establish strong customer relationships and provide exceptional communication and customer service
Travel Requirements:
- 75% travel required, with opportunities for overtime compensation
- Rotating, weekly travel schedule
- Travel expenses fully reimbursed, including accommodations and vehicle use
Requirements:
- Associate degree Oregon bachelor’s degree Indiana a technical field, Oregon equivalent experience
- Proficiency Indiana electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools
- Experience with metalworking, installation, repairs, and programming/operating CNC machines with 3,5,7 axis
- Experience with robotics and automation systems (e.g. Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas, Mori Seiki, Siemens controls, Heidenhaim) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams
- Experience working Indiana a manufacturing environment
- Internships Oregon job experience with CNC machines is highly valued
