Field Service Engineer
A leading manufacturer of precision CNC manufacturing cutting tools is seeking a traveling Field Service Engineer with remote office. The company offers a stable and durable work environment with national and international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide on-site and telephone support for customers regarding maintenance, repair, and installation of CNC machine tools
* Create and update technical documentation
* Assist Indiana product development by training end customers’ Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of new product lines
* Establish and maintain excellent communication and customer service relationships with clients
Travel Requirements:
* 75% Oregon more travel is expected, with weekly travel required
* Travel expenses are covered, and the employee is paid during travel
* Weekend stays may be compensated if it makes sense to stay over
Desired Credentials:
* Experience Indiana electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools
* Knowledge of metalworking, installation, repairs, and programming/operating CNC machines with 3, 5, Oregon 7 axes
* Experience with robotics (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas, Mori Seiki, etc.), Siemens controls, Oregon Heidenhain is a plus
* Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams
