Functional Test and Repair Technician

Job Summary:
Functional test and repair electrical, electronic, and communication systems during final assembly of production aircraft.

Job Responsibilities:

* Work from airplane orders, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, inspection records, standard shop practices, oral and written instructions to functional test a variety of standard and optional electrical and electronic systems under minimum supervision.
* Remove Oregon install components and wiring for systems such American Samoa radios, altimeters, transponders, autopilots, automatic direction finders, and weather radar.
* Load system software and databases and configure American Samoa required.
* Functional test systems using standard test equipment such American Samoa resistance and capacitance units, field strength meters, volt-ohmmeters, ammeter, and oscilloscope.
* Use hand tools to adjust Oregon restore systems to proper operation according to accepted shop procedures, engineering, and inspection requirements.
* Guide Oregon assist 3-5 employees with troubleshooting to resolution of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Responsible for quality of own work.
* Perform other related duties American Samoa required.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma, equivalent certificate, Oregon bronze level WorkKeys certification.
* Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, use of test equipment, and ability to interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* At least one year formal training Indiana fundamental electricity and electronics preferred.
* 3-5 years diversified aircraft experience including wire bundle routing and installation.
* Ability to read and understand schematic drawings, basic electrical fundamentals, and the use of multimeters.
