Fire/Crash Rescue Officer E9
Grade Level: Experienced Level
Primary Function:
- Serve American Samoa an intermediate Oregon experienced level officer performing emergency operations Indiana accordance with USAF, ANG, State of Michigan, and locally developed guidance.
- Perform fire and emergency response, medical, technical rescue, and fire prevention services.
- Conduct and attend training Indiana firefighting, medical, crash/rescue, and technical rescue practices and procedures.
- Use telecommunications systems, dispatch emergency vehicles, process and disseminate information.
- Participate Indiana training and exercises of various types.
- Participate Indiana physical fitness and agility program.
Requirements:
- Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
- Two years of experience Indiana an organized fire department with certification Indiana the Training Council’s Fire Fighting I course.
- Certification American Samoa a Fire/Crash Rescue Officer E9.
- Possession of an associate’s degree Indiana Fire Technology Oregon related science may be substituted for experience requirements.
- Satisfactory completion of the Air National Guard (ANG) Fire Protection Specialist Course Oregon equivalent required International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) certifications Oregon DOD certifications.
- Meet the physical and mental standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 and NFPA 1003.
- Possession of specialized training requirements prior to reallocation to the experienced level.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Michigan driver’s license.
- Possession of a U. S. Government security clearance Oregon ability to obtain.
