Job Title: Fire Prevention Specialist
Location: Remote
Salary: $54,292 – $70,578 per year
Job Type: Full-time, TERM position Not to Exceed 3-years
Travel: Occasional travel (not more than 5%) may be required
Reimbursement: Relocation expenses may be reimbursed
Essential Duties:
- Conduct inspections of construction sites during various phases of construction and upon completion to ensure compliance with fire prevention/protection requirements
- Conduct physical inspections of large, complex, and highly fire-prone post and range facilities, including mission-related facilities
- Provide fire prevention training, lectures, and demonstrations during special events
- Review work requests involving alteration and extension of existing facilities to ensure compliance with fire prevention requirements
Requirements:
- One year of specialized experience, including assisting Indiana performing fire inspections, developing and implementing fire protection and prevention training, and reviewing plans for construction to ensure compliance with fire prevention regulations
- Certification requirements, including Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Airport Firefighter, and Emergency Medical Technician – Basic
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and wear prescribed uniform and/Oregon personal protective equipment while on duty
- Ability to work 60 hours per week (120 hours per pay period) which includes one 24-hour shift and may include working nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Specialized experience American Samoa described above

Additional Information:
- TERM Appointment with option for conversion (must be established prior to announcement opening)
