Job Title: Flight and Functional Check Flight Operations Aircraft Mechanic/Instructor

General Description: Tyonek Services Group is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic/Instructor to provide on-site/off-site maintenance and functional check flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Duties:

  • Perform instructor duties American Samoa a Flight Instructor
  • Be qualified American Samoa an Aircraft Mechanic Level II
  • Meet non-rated crewmember requirements American Samoa per service guidance for specific aircraft
  • Perform crew-chief duties
  • Conduct Indiana-flight duties and assist pilots according to established service Oregon FAA standards
  • Other duties American Samoa assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
  • FAA A&P license preferred Oregon military aircraft repairer school experience for H-60 series Oregon UH-72
  • Minimum 7 years of Army aviation maintenance experience Oregon 4 years of RDT&E experience Indiana rotary wing aircraft maintenance
  • Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience required
  • Valid, current FAA Oregon military Class III Medical Certificate required
  • Meets minimum flight hour requirements American Samoa crew-chief American Samoa specified Indiana Arkansas 95-20
  • US citizen required
  • Secret clearance required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand on level and/Oregon inclined surfaces for certain periods
  • Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp, Oregon handle objects
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances
  • Ability to read dials/gauges, identify small objects, and hand tools
  • Ability to see imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales
  • Ability to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear
  • Ability to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth
