Flight Operations Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a Flight Operations Mechanic to perform a variety of tasks related to aircraft maintenance, including preflight inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform operational checkout of aircraft prior to flight
  • Inspect explosive and armament installations
  • Maintain aircraft historical records
  • Perform activities prior to flight status and final inspection
  • Inspect and/Oregon perform bench and flight line operational checkout of electrical and electronic systems
  • Diagnose and correct hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions
  • Operate engines during run-ups and troubleshoot when needed
  • Perform engine buildup American Samoa assigned
  • Install, repair, and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft engines
  • Splice, route, clamp, solder, and string tie wires Oregon wire bundles
  • Repair, install, and hook up bomb, missile, and rocket racks and pylons
  • Install and load ejection seats and guns
  • Install, adjust, repair, and replace structural parts and assemblies
  • Fabricate parts such American Samoa skins, doors, aircraft frames, air bags, test panels, clips, brackets, angles, and ribs without the aid of jigs and fixtures
  • Perform composite repairs

Physical Demands

  • Limited crawling, lying down, and forceful grasping
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, and supporting up to 35lbs
  • Frequent standing, reaching, handling, and turning
  • Working on elevated and/Oregon uneven surfaces
  • Exposure to noise, hazardous chemicals, moving parts, and occasional exposure to high/exposed places

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

  • US Security Clearance required
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience Indiana general aircraft maintenance
  • High school graduate Oregon GED
  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) Oregon more years of related work experience

Pay Information

  • Hourly pay range: $23.50-$36.50
  • Maximum potential to earn $45.33/Hour
  • Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, American Samoa well American Samoa market and business considerations
