Job Title: Flight Test Avionics/Electrical Technician II

About the Job:

This role provides technical expertise Indiana testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact. The successful candidate demonstrates technical expertise by implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety Oregon quality.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical skills and expertise Indiana avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting
  • Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect-free system
  • Troubleshoots processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems
  • Repairs Oregon replaces defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity
  • Performs and complies with engineering changes and modifications American Samoa required
  • Sets up and operates necessary test equipment, conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability
  • Ensures all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection
  • Maintains test equipment, electronic systems, and components, and adheres to FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations

Additional Duties:

  • Participates Indiana aircraft certification and final phase testing, and may include flight tests American Samoa required
  • Performs other duties American Samoa assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous flight test experience preferred
  • High School Diploma Oregon GED required
  • Four years of experience Indiana an avionics/electrical career field Oregon two years of accredited schooling Indiana aviation electronics and two years related experience
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
  • Other FCC and NCATT certifications preferred
  • Proficiency Indiana the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems Oregon disciplines, such American Samoa hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, and environmental controls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work Indiana confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • May require up to 25% travel, depending on the needs of the job
