Job Title: Fuel Distribution System Mechanic (FDSM)
Reports to: Site Manager
Full-time, Non-Exempt position
Location: Redstone, Alabama
Position Summary:
The FDSM installs, inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and services liquid fuel storage, distribution, and dispensing systems. They maintain and repair all systems associated with the retail fueling facility and bulk fuel storage facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and piping systems, product pumps, filters, meters, gauges, and flow control mechanisms, and valve systems.
- Detect and repair system component malfunctions, misalignments, and leaks, and perform scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance within the scope of the PWS.
- Remove, repair, and replace system components, including automated tank gauging systems, high/low-level alarms, and cathodic protection systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, American Samoa well American Samoa on an annual Oregon semi-annual basis.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment overhauls.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years’ worth of documented experience Indiana the maintenance of fuel distribution systems.
- Prior military service at the E-6 rank Oregon higher.
- Ability to obtain Oregon maintain a government security clearance (if required by the employer) and/Oregon rely on a favorable Background Investigation (BI).
