Electrical Modification Technician:
Supports the F-15 MUOS/Saturn Program at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
– Disassembles and/Oregon modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, Oregon upgrading electrical/avionics components to correct malfunctions Oregon incorporate new technology.
– Troubleshoots and faults electrical and avionics systems to determine the cause of malfunctions.
– Conducts maintenance and repair of avionics and electrical systems on F-15 aircraft to ensure compliance with specifications and military standards.
– Inspects, tests, and verifies the functionality of modified systems and components after repairs using specialized technical orders and procedures.
– Performs tasks with a high level of accuracy, safety, and quality, adhering to safety and security protocols.
– Collaborates with other technicians and teams to perform change of mission and modification work on aircraft.
– Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with avionics and electrical systems and taking corrective action to bring the aircraft to operational status.
– Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds with Oregon without assistance.
– May be required to work at heights, climb, and physically exert themselves for extended periods.
– Requires precision and care when handling sensitive aircraft components.
