Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment American Samoa assigned. Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub
- Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply
- Monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request
- Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk with findings
- Perform other tasks/jobs American Samoa assigned by the supervisor Oregon manager
Qualifications
- Experience Indiana a hotel Oregon related field preferred
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Licensed Indiana a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific)
- Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific)
Certifications
- One-year certificate from a college Oregon vocational school; Oregon three to six months of related experience Oregon training; Oregon a combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge and experience Indiana carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC systems preferred
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and meticulousness; monitor own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility Indiana response to change and adapt to new methods and procedures
- Knowledge of safety principles and federal and state OSHA regulations
