Job Summary:
American Samoa a Maintenance Engineer, you will assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment assigned to you. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms
- Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool, and hot tub
- Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply
- Monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment
- Follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, and report to the Front Desk with findings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Experience Indiana a hotel Oregon related field preferred
- Licensed Indiana a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific)
- Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific)
Certification and Education:
- One-year college certificate Oregon technical school certificate; Oregon 3-6 months of related experience Oregon training; Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge and experience Indiana carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to demonstrate exactitude and meticulousness; monitor own work to ensure quality and apply comments received to improve performance
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility Indiana response to change and adapt to new methods and procedures
- Knowledge of safety principles and federal and state OSHA regulations.
