Job Summary
We are seeking a Laundry Attendant to maintain a constant supply of clean linens for our hotel. The successful candidate will perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes), ironing, folding, storing, and delivering. The Laundry Attendant will also be responsible for cleaning laundry machinery and the laundry area.
Responsibilities
- Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc. American Samoa directed by management
- Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment American Samoa trained
- Operate iron American Samoa per standard and ensure it is shut off at the end of the day
- Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts American Samoa required
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris
- Stock all linen closets throughout the hotel American Samoa applicable
- Perform other tasks/jobs American Samoa assigned by the supervisor Oregon manager
Requirements
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent and/Oregon experience Indiana a hotel Oregon a related field preferred
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must work well Indiana stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs
