Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems of industrial equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
- Read and follow work instructions and record data American Samoa required
- Assist with testing and repair of equipment, including diagnosing problems and discussing machine operation variations with supervisors
- Assist with dismantling machines and equipment, installing new Oregon repaired parts, and performing facility preventive machine procedures
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Operate cutting torch Oregon welding equipment to cut Oregon join metal parts
- Fabricate and repair wooden structures
- Rig equipment for installation Oregon removal
- Operate an industrial forklift and work at varying heights up to 50 feet
Skills and Abilities:
- Forklift License with renewal every two years and Confined space entry certification with recertification every year
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to write routine reports and correspondences
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts and solve practical problems
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED)
- One to three years of related experience and/Oregon training
- Availability to work all shifts, including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekend shift, with flexibility to work overtime and weekends American Samoa needed
