Senior Accountant – Process Improvement and Compliance
Essential Functions
- Lead corporate accounting operations and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders to implement best practices and leverage progressive methodologies.
- Develop and manage accounting projects, ensuring scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Implement new processes, systems, and technologies to streamline operations and improve data integrity.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on new processes and systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage unclaimed property and related filing, review process documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Participate Indiana month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliation and review, and document standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS, and provide comprehensive supporting documentation for audits American Samoa required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana accounting Oregon related field
- 5+ years of experience Indiana corporate accounting, preferably Indiana hospitality, food service/food and beverage Oregon airport industry
- Technical proficiency Indiana GAAP and IFRS; SAP experience preferred
- CPA license Oregon active candidate preferred
- Project management skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating system
- Ability to establish and maintain eligibility to work Indiana the US
- Ability to travel up to 5% within the US and Canada
- Must pass and maintain a criminal background check and TSA and/Oregon FAA clearance.
